Running out of money during retirement is a legitimate concern. To give you peace of mind, consider an annuity in order to convert a lump sum into a guaranteed stream of cash. Knowing that you’ll have regular income can help you create a budget for your retirement years. Your funds accrue on a tax-deferred basis. Plus, there are other advantages like legacy benefits and long-term care options.
Reach out to me anytime to learn more. Since there are different types of annuities, I can help you make sense of it all and work to help you achieve your personal financial goals.
While sunnier skies and warmer temperatures provide more opportunities to be outdoors, this is also the time of year when risks of becoming dehydrated are the greatest. Dehydration simply means that the body doesn’t have enough water and this affects its ability to function normally. Older adults are at higher risk of dehydration because, as we grow older, our bodies have less ability to hold on to water and to feel thirsty. The experts at Brown University say that you can avoid dehydration by taking some simple precautions. First, carry a water bottle with you when going outdoors and don’t wait until you feel thirsty to drink from it. Reach for fruits and vegetables that are high in water content such as watermelon, cantaloupe, celery, and cucumbers. Cut back on caffeinated drinks because they contribute to dehydration. Next, try to weigh yourself daily to make sure you haven’t lost two pounds or more within a day (without having made any medication changes). Finally, if you have health conditions that dictate the amount of water that you should consume daily, ask your doctor for recommendations on how you can stay hydrated safely.
If your summer plans include a much-deserved vacation, you’ll want to consider getting a Medicare Supplement Plan to ensure that you’re covered for healthcare expenses away from home. You may not know that Original Medicare, in most cases, will not follow you around the globe. However, there are a variety of Medicare Supplement Plan options that will fill in that gap. Making sure that you have travel coverage can save you money and hassles … wherever the road may take you.
To learn more about this and all of the many benefits of a Medicare Supplement Plan, contact me by phone or e-mail. You can try to secure this coverage no matter your age. Your six-month Open Enrollment Period starts when you’re 65 and enrolled in Medicare Part B, so that’s considered the best time to enroll. However, even if this time period has already passed, you may still qualify. I can help determine your eligibility and answer any questions.

June 13, 1966 – The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the case of Miranda v. American police officers now routinely read prisoners their “Miranda” rights.

DIVERSIFICATION is a strategy that mixes a variety of investments within a financial portfolio in an attempt to reduce overall risk. It is most often done by investing in different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate, or cryptocurrency) and then in different types of securities within a class. A financial portfolio constructed of different kinds of assets will, on average, yield higher long-term returns and lower the risk from an individual holding or security.
The INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION began in Great Britain in the late 1700s and early 1800s and later spread to the U.S. and other countries. It marked the transition from agrarian economies to industrialized manufacturing economies with the introduction of the steam engine, mechanized manufacturing, and improved transportation. This period helped shape modern capitalism.
An X-MARK SIGNATURE is used by people who are unable to sign their full name due to disability, serious injury, or illiteracy. Documents using this type of signature require a witness — and, in some states, notarization and proof of identity — due to fraud concerns.
“Then followed that beautiful season … summer… filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light and the landscape lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.”
